THE SCREAM OF THE EARTH
INSTALLATION
The works that are part of this installation created through natural materials, the fabrics, the burlap and other artificial elements, an artistic set that plastic and symbolically express the cry of the Earth, the wounds of nature, and at the same time, its vitality and regenerative capacity.

THE BREAD THE SCREAM OF THE EARTH
Action
In this performative in which uses the installation “The Bread and the Scream of the Heart I. 2015”, the artist expresses through gestures and the phonetic expression, the pain and desperation of hunger.
The action has been carried out in the workshop of the artist himself, on 30 April 2015.

A video performance in which the author makes an artistic reflection on the thought, taking the sculpture of Rodin’s The Thinker as symbolic and cultural reference.

TOTEM WITH HOLLOW OVAL AND TWO SOLAR DISKS. 2014
TRIBUTE TO FERRAN HERNÁNDEZ AT CAL TALAVERÓ, LLEIDA.
The sculpted painting Tòtem amb Oval Buit I Dos Discos Solars (Totem with Hollow Oval and Two Solar Disks) (5.50 x 0.7 x 0.7 cm) opened last July as a tribute to Ferran Hernández, art gallery director at Cal Talaveró on the first anniversary of his death. It was made during last summer in Verdú in front of the gallery. It was a personal experience for which I counted on collective collaboration and made me feel proud ans satisfied. As it can be seen in this work, I have tried to synthesize in it what is totemic and primeval with some references to Modernism, tradition that rooted in our country during the last years of 19th century and early 20th. These references are now Postmodern and are present on the basis of the work and are consisting of pieces of black pottery from Verdú, a kind of traditional ceramics from this town, so that they merged with its tradition.
It was a Totem in which, according to my tras-sinteist conception, some symbolic elements are introduced: the Hollow Oval and the Two Solar Discs. Verticality dominates this work, showing thus a birth at the most material basis and an elongation of the totem towards the Hollow in the Oval, which opens the sculpture towards the universe. This totem is related to all previous sculpted paintings in the ESPAI TOTÈMIC (Totemic Space) I initiated in 1979.

The exhibition El Cant I El Crit de la Terra (The Song and The Scream of the Earth) by artist Jordi Traperho is open until July 20th at l’ESPAI DE LA VIDA RURAL CASA VALLS. Avinguda Catalunya 3, CIUTADILLA (L’Urgell), LLEIDA.
This exhibition consists of a group of fifty four works (paintings, drawings, painted sculptures and installations) from his series called Les Cases Transparents (The Transparent Houses), El Cant I El Crit de la Terra (The Song and The Scream of the Earth).
These works share the space with farming objects and tools which are part of the permanent exhibition at the ESPAI DE LA VIDA RURAL, which is run by the town council.
INAUGURATION THE SONG AND THE SCREAM OF THE EARTH
El Cant I El Crit de la Terra (The Song and The Scream of the Earth), a group of fifty four works by Jordi Traperho opened last Friday of June 13th at Casa Valls. Espai de la vida rural a Ciutadilla, Lleida.
The event was hosted by the town major Oscar Martínez and the artist red an explaining paper on the exhibition. Many neighbors from the town and the county attended.
After the tour around the exhibition an action video-poem called Un mar de verds. Contemplació (A sea of greens. Meditation) was made, also by the artist himself.

This exhibition consists of a group of fifty four works by the artist Jordi Traperho from his series Les Cases Transparents (The Transparent Houses), El Cant I El Crit de la Terra (The Song and The Scream of the Earth), Naturaleses Cosmològiques (Cosmological Natures) and Espai Totèmic (Totemic Space), consisting of paintings, drawings, painted sculptures and installations.
The video-poem Un mar de verds. Contemplació (A sea of greens. Meditation) will be made during a guided tour commented by the artist.
The exhibition will be open from June the 13th until July the 20th at Casa Valls, Ciutadilla, L’Urgell (Vall del Corb) Lleida. Opening hours: Saturday and Sunday 12:00 to 2:00 am and 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
The exhibition is backed by the Ciutadilla Town Hall.
Jordi Traperho selected in the9th edition of Fine Arts Prize of the Catalan Countries
The artist is present with the work Houses Transparent, Square and Three Birds, painting 2012, now exhibited until June 1 at the Convent of St. Bartholomew the town Bellpuig (Urgell) Lleida, along with twenty-four works selected in this edition.
Later expose the Municipality of Torrefarrera and then to the city of Lleida.
This award is organized by the Jaume Perelló Foundation, sponsored by the Deputationof Lleida and Councils collaborate Bellpuig and Torrefarrera, Regional Council of Urgell, Museum of History of Catalonia and Public Foundation Studies Institute of Lleida.
